Neuro's Memory Wipe
NOTE: I recommend playing the download version if possible. The web version Might have issues with some bullet patterns for some people.
HOW TO PLAY
- Your hitbox is very small, (as is bullet hell tradition). Pay attention to the little pink dot on Neuro's back when dodging.
- Hold [Shift] to move slowly. (You will need this!)
- Press [z] to shoot (or confirm menu options)
- Press [x] to summon a remnant.
- Stay inside remnant to use it as a shield,
- Move outside of a remnant and shoot though it to enhance bullets.
- Use arrow keys to move
- Press [S] to skip cutscenes
- Press [F] to toggle full screen
- Also supports controller! (Xbox notation - (X) or (A) to shoot / Dpad or Left Stick to move / Right Trigger to move slow / Left trigger to summon remnant / Start to skip cutscene / Select to toggle fullscreen.
ABOUT
Fairly happy with what I got done here. It's the first SHMUP I've ever finished, I ended spending a lot of time on getting the fundamental gameplay and bullet pattern stuff implemented. Unfortunately I completely ran out of time for sound and some basic things like a pause menu. I imagine the game is a bit unbalanced. (Which is why I recommend playing on the "Casual" mode. I didn't have time to tweak bullet patterns individually, etc. The third boss is quite a difficulty spike.)
There are 3 bosses to fight and each has 8 phases. A single run through should be less than 10 minutes.
CREDITS
Everything in the game was created by me from scratch using Godot / Blender / Krita / Gimp / Aesprite. The only exceptions are the free fonts (Unisans, Oswald and Komika)
